sun and cupcakes

Uploaded from the Photobucket iPhone App

 Hey lovelies!
How beautiful is the weather?! Wow Summer, at last, maybe?
It's been far too hot for me to even know what to wear,
even in the outfit above I was too hot!
Just a Topshop and Miss Selfridge ensemble
I forgot all about this dress from Topshop, then searching
high and low for a dress in my room, I rediscovered it!
And, of course, my trusty denim shirt jacket. Always
a go to these days.

My bag is from New Look, about two years old!
It seems with bags, I just acquire them in a
tan or brown colour! I need to liven it
up a bit in the bag department.
Shoes, good old studded flats.
Bit of a lazy summer outfit for me, but perfect
for hot, relaxing days I think!

With gorgeous weather comes BBQS,
and that's exactly what we did today at my
auntie's! Being a vegetarian at a BBQ can be
well, um awkward sometimes! But, a bit
of quorn bbq'd 'chicken' is always good!

My auntie is on a bit of a baking mission at the moment,
baking lots of batches of fairycakes and cupcakes,
and my they LOOK and taste delicious!

How amazing do they look?
Mmm yum!

Anyway, I shall be posting some reviews in the next
few days, one I can't wait to blog about actually :)!

Hope you're enjoying the sun & having a fab weekend.
Much love

Herve Leger Femme

PhotobucketPhotobucket693d4cdfc7ed5a5bssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
I'm a sucker for perfumes in pretty bottles, and I absoloutley love this fragrance by Herve Leger created exclusively for Avon. As always, there's gifts for me at my Nana's, she knows what I like! I've been wanting this, as I kept lingering on the page in the brochure.
The scent reminds me of Chanel no.5, which just reminds me of my Mum, definitely one that has memories. I love fragrances that can take you back to places. It's a fresh, floral scent with honeyed woods. Definitely feminine and a classy scent. This for me would be an evening perfume! I love the bottle too, again it reminds me of Chanel! I love the clear and the glass. Just such a pretty bottle.

It also came with a shower gel and body lotion. I never really use the shower gels that come in perfume collections, but I do use the body lotions, more so after showering. More to add to my collection. Both are of course scented with the fragrance, mmm so nice!

I really love this, and it may just become my signature evening/nighttime fragrance!
It's definitely for you if you are into your floral and feminine scents!

If you know anyone who does Avon, you should definitely
give this a smell, as they have a scented page in the brochure!

What is your favourite perfume?
Ever tried any from Avon?

Much love

avon clearskin pore penetrating clay mask

I've had this for quite a while, since my nana is an Avon rep it's easy to just purchase products. Like any typical girl, a product that promises to make pores look visibly clearer and refined is a must have! I've said this before, but I'm always on the hunt for products that do just that! I usually use this around twice a week, combined with other masks, as I like to mix it up!

I love applying this, I don't know why, I just love the green clay paste. It's super easy to apply, and spreads over your face effortlessly! I apply it after I've cleansed, on dry skin, leave on for 5 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water. I usually just apply it all over my face, though sometimes I focus heavily on my T-zone.

I have to say I really do enjoy this product, and I think it was only under a fiver. Sorry, I can't remember! I definitely think its good for those on a budget who are after a fab face mask.
I have noticed a different with the size of my pores, (definitely reduced) and how refreshed my face is when I use this. I have been using this in conjunction with the biore pore strips as well too, (ew!) so good though!

I think once this is near enough empty I'm going to purchase the Origins Clear Improvement mask, as it's been on my wishlist for ages now!

Have you got any good clay face mask recommendations?
What are your favourite face masks?
Much love

Simple Vital Vitamin Foaming Cleanser

You know when you buy something on a whim, don't really know why you bought it in the first place, especially when it wasn't something you really were after. This product is definitely that. I am a sucker for cleansers, and trying new ones out, though I've never heard much about this one, and in all honesty I think I just picked it up as it was 3 for 2, and I picked up the Simple Moisturiser. I prefer cleansers that are water or oil based, as it is easier when removing eye make up. I like no fuss!

The product at first look is a clear liquid, however when dispensed into your palm becomes a foam, but not even a creamy foam, it's really light and almost froth like.
I didn't feel like it cleanses my face properly, and it just doesn't work for me, at all. The one thing I dislike is that it isn't meant to be used on eyes, so it's just too much fuss.

Ive definitely noticed that my skin has reacted to this,
a few breakouts, nothing too major but still some.
It is full of vitamins and added moisturisers, which is good,
and it's not scented too, which is another plus.

I don't think I'll repurchase this though, as it's not really the type of cleanser I like,
but I'm glad I tried and tested it.
Though it is easy to lather on my face when I'm not wearing eye make up,
for everyday use it's just going to be stick on my shelf unused.

Have you tried this?
What are your thoughts?

Much love

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

If you haven't heard of the latest lip product from Revlon then you've definitely been living under a rock, or ATLEAST done your best to avoid it. It's definitely one of the latest hyped up products in the blogosphere. I've been after one since its release in the US, and had been lusting after every shade.

The first thing that came to mind with these products was how similar they looked to the Clinique's Chubby Stick. I can't however comment on the chubby stick, as I haven't tried it, I can't justify paying £16 for it, when these, which are much better and cheaper at £5.99 (introductory price, 7.99 after).

The balm stains come in seven shades, all which I love! I was umming and ahhing between Lovesick, Darling, Crush, and Rendezvous. In the end, I went for the latter, and I'm glad I did!
It is a bright coral orange shade, which seems to be what I'm going for these days! The pigmentation I'd say is pretty good, easily buildable, not at all drying on the lips. The lasting quality is impressive, with the stain lasting a good full day on my lips, though it may not be as glossy as when first applied, it's still there. The only thing that I dislike is the scent of it, it's a minty sweet scent, sort of tastes like mouthwash! Slightly weird!

I'm definitely going to pick up Lovesick and Darling when I next go to boots! I just think there is definitely a colour for everyone, whether you want to play it simple and casual with the Romantic shade, or go for a sultry look with Crush. There's a shade for everyone! I think it's definitely a lip product I'm going to keep on repurchasing it.
I must love it a lot as I've been wearing it everyday!

Have you got a JBK? Or have any shades caught your eye?

Much love
