nivea | double effect eye make up remover

nivea

Another thing I recently bought to try out is the Nivea Daily Essentials double effect eye make up remover. WOW. That's a mouthful. But yes, that is what this is, and first things first. I absolutely love this. I had previously tried the normal Nivea eye make up remover, and that was well to put it in simple terms, incredibly rubbish! This however, is a whole different story, this is bloody fantastic at removing eye make up. For days when I don't use my Bioderma, this is where this baby comes in.

I love this because it's an oil formula, and I find that cleansers or eye make up removers, that are oil based work best at removing every last scrap of mascara and eyeliner, and this definitely lives up to that. I only need to use one cotton wool pad for each eye when I use this, where as if I was to use a standard eye make up remover, I'd probably need about 3 or 4.
If I'm honest I don't particularly usually go for eye make up removers, as I like a cleanser that also removes eye make up, but this one is just a great exception, and definitely makes removing my make up less of a chore.

It's simple, it's easy, it works and the best bit is that it's cheap, and without a doubt I'll definitely keep on repurchasing this. I don't know why I never tried this sooner?!

Have you tried this?
What are your favourite eye make up removers?

sleek lipsticks | barely there & candy cane

I bought some lipsticks on a blog sale, these two and a MAC one, but I just love these two, so thought I would dedicate a whole post to them.
These two are the Sleek Sheen lipsticks in 'Barely There' and 'Candy Cane',
I have found myself reaching for both of these lately, more so 'Barely There'.
It appears I'm a massive fan of a more subtle nude lips lately, as apposed to my signature bright blue toned pink lipsticks. Now, don't get me wrong, I will forever have a long lasting love affair with my bright lippys, but there's just something about the nude lips. I'm fully embracing the whole 'your lips but better' shades recently. I seem to be creating bold looks and statements with my eyes, and then opting for a natural colour for my lips.

I adore the texture of these lipsticks. They're a Sheen finish, and are so beautifully creamy and when applying on to the lip, it just glides on effortlessly. And, the longevity of these is just amazing, the staying power is too good. I applied this at 6am for a 9 hour day at work, and even by midday it was still intact and looked as though as good as new. That's definitely a good thing for me, I like my lipsticks to have good staying power, I don't want it just resembling a stain. The good thing about these, is that they're so highly pigmented, you don't need to apply a lot, so will definitely last you a good while, but I will certainly be repurchasing these, they're just that good!

You can purchase Sleek lipsticks from Superdrug and online, and they're only £4.99! Incredibly affordable for such a great product. I've seen so many different shades I now want to buy, Coral Reef being one of them!

What do you think of these?
Do you already own any Sleek lipsticks?

baked bronzer | vivo cosmetics

I picked this beautiful bronzer up a few weeks ago after I finished work, I nipped into Tesco only for a Pepsi Max and Glamour magazine, and ending up coming out with various different beauty items. Ultimate fail on my part. BUT, I am now a beautiful bronzer up in my collection, so really, is it a fail?
I think not.

I have never really looked into the brand Vivo and if I'm honest I don't know too much about it, the only product I am familiar with from the brand is their brow kit, I haven't used it but I have heard lots about it. I have been after a decent, new bronzer for a while now, and I needed one quick, so after browsing through the different brands, this is the one that struck out the most at me. This is in the shade 'Healthy Glow'. It reminds me a hell of a lot of MAC's mineralize skinfinish gold deposit. It's super pretty, and I love the little swirls and the specks of shimmer. This is everything I didn't want in a bronzer. I was specifically looking for just a perfect matte bronzer, but once I saw this I just fell in love. Completely and utterly. This is just perfect for creating a natural sunkissed golden glow on your face, and if you work it well it really can look natural, however if you just pop it on haphazardly without working it in to the skin, it can look cakey and definitely like you've just rolled around in a pool full of bronzer.

I like to apply this in a 3 shape on my face, starting at my temples and coming down into the hollows of my cheeks which creates a C shape, which is a perfect starting point for contour, but then I carry it on into a 3 by sweeping across my jawline. I then blend, blend, blend. I also like to add a little bit on to my nose, just by using the remaining powder from the brush, not adding any more. I like applying my bronzer in this technique as I think it doesn't look too harsh and OTT, as if I was to just buff my brush all over my face.

Really loving this bronzer at the moment.
Don't you just love it when you find a pretty amazing new product?
What are your favourite bronzers? Any recommendations?

A week without blogging?!

It feels like forever since I last posted, when really it's been just over a week. Still though, that's way too long, and I've had LOTS to blog about, no writers block(bloggers block?!) if that's what you're thinking. Just my laptop. The silly thing decided it didn't want to turn on for a few days, despite being on charge. Very annoying! And, with no posts scheduled, and the blogger app on the iPhone being the way it is (incredibly shit if you want to know!) I couldn't post :( I think I need a MacBook as soon as possible. Anyway, I haven't done a little Instagram update post in a while...

nothing like a early morning sugar fix, creating daywear looks, before work, shoes ft make up brushes drying, outfit sort of, making a butterfly moodboard, my mum and her nelly shoes and gorgeous legs, mum and me, glittery eyes me, legs ft pepsi max, energy fix ft fave read, make up goodies, selfie, animal print body art, being vain at work,  my nelly shoes finally arrived, oh hello pretty diet coke can, must stop spending money, bioderma yay, creating evening wear looks.

I've been so busy with work and college and more work all on very little sleep, really don't know how I manage it to be honest. Really loving both work and college though, everything's still fabulous. As if it's October though, everything is just going too quick, not sure whether that's a good thing though! Now, I must try to sleep, work tomorrow and then I can relax and enjoy my day off on Wednesday. YAY.  More like, WednesYAY.
Seriously. I should just be quiet now and sleep.

Hope you're all fab!

sigma | beauty expert brow design

SIGMA brow-design

I won the wonderful Sammi's giveaway over on her blog Beauty Crush. I was well happy, as anything with brows I LOVE, and this amazing brow design kit is just wow! Also, I never really win giveaways, and out of over 2000 entries, that's pretty impressive! Sammi has an amazing blog too, so if you've
never checked her out, or her YT videos, you really should!
I've always lusted over Sigma make up brushes, and have had my eye on the flat top kabuki brush that they do, as well as their whole range.

The brow kit comes with tools, such as scissors, tweezers (which are great!) eyebrow stencils, sharperner, and an angled eyebrow brush with a brow groomer on the end. Now, getting on to the best bits, there are two double ended pencils. The first one being a highlighting pencil, with the lighter end being a matte highlighter, and the gold darker shade being a shimmery finish.
I personally prefer the lighter matte shade myself, though I can imagine the shimmery end being really pretty on nights out. I also, used the matte shade on my face as well. It's actually really good.
The second pencil is the actual brow pencil, with a medium and dark shade, my shade being dark. It's such a lovely texture and so easy to apply on to the brows! I use this alongside using the five brow shades in the box. I use a mix between 'Natasha' and 'Valentina', and then lastly I use the brow gel, I usually use the tinted one.

Rubbish quality iPhone pic of myself after a long day of using the brow kit, but I definitely recommend it, it's SO good. And, I definitely would fork out for this, though I think before it does run out, I will look for cheaper ones!

Have you tried this? Do you know any alternatives?
Much Love
